Lost In Space is a modern reboot of an original Sci-Fi series introduced from 1965 – 1968. The Robinsons, a troubled family of five journeys across the galaxy to colonize a new world in hopes for a better life.
At the same time, a meteorite threatens the habitability of Earth. The Robinsons is one of many families to be tested and trained in order to determine their value as contributing members of the new society. On their way to the new world, hostile aliens attack their transport, forcing an emergency evacuation. Every survivor become stranded on a strange and hostile planet. In order to return to the Resolute, they must fix their, assemble resources, and survive every danger the planet throws their way.
Unfortunately, danger lurks around every corner. Not only does the planet have a very hostile environment, but also the Robinsons learn to be wary of everyone and everything around them. A mysterious alien robot appears to Will Robinson after the crash. As frightening as it appears, it saves Judy's life and protects Will at all costs. Will it stay that way?
More survivors surface, each one with ambitions and reasons to survive including a mechanic working as a smuggler and motivated by money. Even the elected leader of the colonist group shows sign of questionable character. He is controlling, self-serving, and cowardly. Worst of all, an identity thief steals her seat on the Resolute. Her only goal is self preservation.
Another destructive force among the colonists is the Robinson family itself. Maureen is controlling. John is close-minded. Will's fear often paralyzes him in times of crisis, and he is far too trusting. Penny is impulsive. Judy is overambitious. Their fault serve as their detriment throughout their struggle to survive and return to the Resolute.
This new world, this promise of a better life and a fresh start, doesn't exist. Whatever horrors, difficulties, and sins the colonists hope to abandon on Earth travel with them to the new world. Why? Because humanity is the problem, not the planet Earth.
Humanity is plagued with sin. Every single person is flawed. Every member of the Resolute is flawed. No amount of test and training can filter it away. Even their means of transportation comes from questionable origins.
If the colonist team has any hopes of reaching paradise, the people must first learn to accept their flaws as well as their strengths. They must let go of the fantasy of a perfect world. They must learn to work together and look out for one another in times of need. Otherwise, they may remain lost forever.
Season Two will premiere on an unknown date with a new adventure for the Robinson family. They remain lost, this with no allies. How will they survive? How will they find the new world? How will they fight the dangers they face?
