INCREDIBLES 2 (2018) Movie Review

The incredible Parr family perseveres.

After fourteen years, the unique Parr family saga continues in Incredibles 2 , a story of good vs. evil, of family, and of perseverance.

Taking place directly after the first Incredibles, the Parr family embarks on an intense campaign to make superheroes legal again. Both Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl venture out of their comfort zones and switch roles in order to accomplish their goal. Elastigirl, once the stay-at-home mom, is thrust into the spotlight as the poster girl of superheroes while her husband, the infamous Mr. Incredible, stays at home to care for their three children who attempt to adapt to a normal childhood.

Ecclesiastes 7:8 "Finishing is better than starting. Patience is better than pride." (NLT)

Incredibles 2 is a brilliant continuation of the Parr family's journey to find their place in the world. They are five very powerful people who want to use their gifts to make the world a better place. However, society continues to shut them down and demands that they live mundane, day-to-day lives.

Destiny demands more. It is Elastigirl's duty to establish their rights to help others as superheroes, to be who they want to be, and to achieve their destiny.

That same perseverance is evident in Elastigirl's mission. She sees it through to the end. Even when an easy answer presents itself, the celebratory conclusion does not satisfy her. Her instincts tell her there is more to the story, and she is right. Because of perseverance, the Parrs unite and save an entire city.

As a result, they restore the positive image of superheroes and begin their public acceptance.

2 John 1:8 - "Watch out that you do not lose what we have worked so hard to achieve. Be diligent so that you receive your full reward." (NLT)

Perseverance prevails.
