The Cloverfield Paradox is the thrilling, albeit confusing prequel to Cloverfield and 10 Cloverfield Lane . It answers the question of how these horrifying monsters appear on Earth. An attempt to save Earth opens nearly causes its destruction.
The blame lies with the Shepard, a space station conducting research that could save Earth from power failure, war, and destruction. They experiment with ways to create unlimited, free energy. In their attempts, the Shepard's crew open a door to something far worse. They slip into an alternate dimension where a secondary Earth also struggles for survival.
Which Earth, which dimension, will the Shepard be able save? Which dimension will they chose? How far will the dual worlds go to save themselves?
Only because the Earth is desperate to survive do the portal open and the monsters appear. Earth is already near the end. Yet, they continue to hope. They continue to fight, even against each other over a broken ship.
It isn't until they realize the importance of sharing with the other world do they have any hope of success. They stop fighting and work together. It is the only chance they have to return to the original Earth. To save both planets. To save as many lives as possible. They didn't have to chose after all.
They could instead be the saving grace for two worlds... Just in time for a new threat to emerge.
Just as Christ is a Shepherd to all of God's people - regardless of race, gender, age, or dimension - the Shepard works to save all lives in The Cloverfield Paradox
. It is a beacon of hope to many, and it ought to be shared with ALL. Let us as stewards of Christ remember that. ALL need hope. ALL deserve to be saved. We must give the message to ALL.
