Ready Player One is the story based in dystopian 2045 where society reaches an all-time low. Void of opportunities and hope, people reach out for something in which to escape, to enjoy, and to control. A virtual reality game called the OASIS becomes the ultimate escape. Not only an escape, it becomes a new way of life.
Before the OASIS' creator James Halliday passes away, he installs a final challenge into the game after which the winner inherits the entire OASIS empire. Yet, it is more than a game. It is also a challenge in empathy and a journey through the life lessons of James Halliday.
